6th Grade: On Friday, we looked at a Powerpoint to review the three "normal" states of matter: solid, liquid, gas. Today we learned about the "families" within the Periodic Table of Elements and we drew Lewis Dot Structures. Your homework was to finish these diagrams. There will be an open note quiz tomorrow on the Periodic Table.7th Grade: On Friday, we started out by listing the 6 characteristics of all living things. We then started to work on our first project of the year - "Is It Alive?". Today we continued to work on our drawings and a letter to the National Academy of Science. Tomorrow, there will be a quiz on the 6 characteristics of living things. Textbooks will be issued this week. Please cover your book.
