February is Black History Month.
Your assignment is to complete the following choice board before February 28th.
There are 9 different assignments.
You must select one from each vertical column.

Write one paragraph about why Blacks were shut out of professional occupations after the Civil War.Create a "Matching" quiz about black scientists and/or inventors.  Put names on one side.  Put biographical facts and/or accomplishments on the other side of the paper.Mae C. Jemison was the first African American woman astronaut. Make a PhotoStory 3 slide show about her.
During the years of slavery, why were most slaves denied an education? Answer in one paragraph.Make a timeline that describes the history and important dates of Tuskegee University.  Your emphasis should be on why this college was so important to the history of education.
