6th Grade: Last week we began our study of the rock cycle. We completed a lab where we rolled rock cycle dice that sent us on a journey through the different stages. We worked on a story and comic strip about an imaginary rock or dust particle that traveled through the rock cycle. These will be completed next week.
During the coming week, we sill study Igneous rocks and Sedimentary rocks. We will make a sedimentation bottle in class.
7th Grade:
We only had 2 classes last week because of COGAT standardized testing. We completed our study of Energy Pyramids. During the coming week, we will complete a study guide and take a test on the Interactions Among Living Things. Next week, the ITBS tests will be given to 7th graders. Go to bed early and eat breakfast each morning. These tests are important for placement in classes during the 8th grade and high school!
